| Situated up in a large mountain valley at about 130 km south-east of Jakarta, Bandung
is known for its appreciably cool climate, for its textile manufacturing industry and for
its universities. There are dozens of universities, with the Institut Teknologi Bandung
(ITB, cf photo below) being the most reputable of them, but to make me feel at home, there
is also the Politek Swiss (now joined ITB), and even a "Swiss German
University"! |
